Higher Ed Vertical Makes Strong Showing in AV Nation 2023 Reader’s Choice Awards | Breaking News

The annual AV Nation Awards are an industry highlight that kicks off each new year. The voting opened January 1, 2024, and runs in three stages, with nominations bracketed against one another in a "March Madness" style tournament. This year, the higher ed vertical received six total nominations in four different categories. 

The Best Technical Support of 2023:

The Best Education of 2023: 
- HETMA (Higher Education Technology Managers Alliance)
- Pace University AV Course - MCA 165

Best AV Project of 2023:
- USC Digital Creative Lab

AV Professional of the Year:
- Erin Maher-Moran, Johns Hopkins University
- Bald AV Guys (George Chacko & Rich Miller III), Pace University

The awards also feature a new category focused on the higher ed vertical: "The Best Higher Ed Gear of 2023" Nominations for that category include products by Atlas IED, Chief, Origin Acoustics, Extron, Q-SYS, Bolin, Wolfvision, and Epiphan.
